Using Sway

Sway creates AI hairstyle and hair-color previews from your photos and instructions. Results are illustrative and may contain errors or change details beyond hair. They are not a guarantee of a salon result. Use your judgment before making a real-world change.

Use the service lawfully. Upload only photos and references you have rights and permission to use. Do not use Sway to impersonate, exploit, harass, or create unlawful content. You retain your rights in your inputs and give us permission to process them to provide the service. Rights in generated output are subject to applicable law and the rights of others.

Accounts

You can use a guest account and purchase a subscription without signing in. A guest account’s photo history may not be recoverable if you lose access to that installation. Linking Apple helps you access your history across devices. Restoring a subscription does not transfer another person’s private photo history.

Sway Plus

Sway Plus offers weekly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions. Launch prices in the US are $7.99 per week and $39.99 per year. Your App Store storefront shows the applicable local price and any taxes before purchase. The plan selected on the purchase screen controls the charge. There is no free trial unless an offer explicitly states otherwise.

Fair use

Both plans let you explore hairstyles for personal use while your subscription is active. Fair-use controls help us keep the service available and affordable. Unusually heavy or sustained generation can temporarily pause new creations. The controls consider the processing cost of recent requests over a rolling period, including edits already running, rather than a fixed number of monthly credits. Only one edit can run per subscription at a time.

If creation is paused, the app explains why and shows when you can create again. Your saved looks remain accessible. Deleting looks, reinstalling, or restoring a subscription does not reset recent usage. Do not automate bulk generation, share a subscription across unrelated users, or bypass these controls. Network interruptions may temporarily count when a provider charge cannot be confirmed.

Apple charges your account when you confirm a purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Deleting your account or the app does not cancel the subscription. Refund requests are handled by Apple and applicable law.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Sway available, but AI providers, networks, and maintenance can interrupt the service. We may update features and these terms. Material subscription changes will be communicated as required, and your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Privacy and deletion

Our privacy policy explains photo processing, providers, retention, and how to delete your account. Do not upload confidential information you do not want processed for your request.

Apple license terms

The iPhone app is also governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These service terms do not limit any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
